When officially there was already peace, hundreds of thousands German civilians were taken away in Stalin's empire because the capriciousness of his justice wanted it so, because they should atone as peons for the enormous war damage.
With the help of newly developed documents, film and photos as well as personal descriptions the film tells the destiny of the affected persons who had been roused from her usual existence in very young years and with their shattering experiences hardly received attention for decades.
