This project is intended to make one of the most complicated and interesting chapters in European history - the German-Polish neighbourhood - accessible to a broad public.
Just in time for the 25th anniversary of the signing of the "Treaty between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Republic of Poland on good neighbourliness and friendly cooperation", a four-part documentary on the common history of Germans and Poles is being produced. As co-producers, Halbtotal Filmproduktion was able to win over the country's most important television channels - ZDF and TVN - for the project.
For the first time in the long history of Germany and Poland, a joint film project will tell the story of neighbourly relations and shed new light on them. The four-part film series will be completed in November 2016 and simultaneously broadcast on German and Polish television. In 2016 Breslau/Wroclaw will become the European Capital of Culture and a world premiere of the films will be strived for in this context.
