The Polish Wanda Stokwisz studied in Leningrad at the famous Muchin institute. The most important work of her life is the Pantokrator. A wall fresco on 350 square meters of area in the Roman Catholic St. Mary's church in Hanau-Steinheim.
The film is a portrait of the artist and a long-term observation of her work on the fresco in Steinheim. Moreover it is a film about a woman that rediscovers the faith in God in her artistic work again and again.
